Liquid or Dust?

There are many standard equipment pest control supplies that you can use for nearly any situation, the best kinds are either dust based or liquid based. Dusters are used to treat many different pests including carpenter bees, carpenter ants and other different insects in and around your home.

Dusters also have the flexibility to be used in nearly any place and they have the capability of deeply penetrating cracks and other areas. You can also use diatomaceous earth (one of the best eco-friendly pest control supplies you can use). This pesticide does not kill chemically so it is non-toxic and it’s a naturally occurring substance that is so safe that you can handle it by hand. This is an essential tool that will be needed to treat your home if you have bed bugs.

You can purchase a duster and other insect dust pesticides; you can keep it to treat other pests. Dusts are superior to other liquid based pesticides because they are light and airy, making them easy to penetrate multiple small cracks that would otherwise be inescapable with liquids, liquids will run downward, with dusts they are very light and airy, they will move upward through areas that are treated.

There are also hand crank dusters designed for treating attic and crawl spaces, these are filled with some dust based insecticide and by using a hand crank it will treat large areas. Remember to take extra precautions, do not skimp on safety, just a simple twenty or thirty dollar mask can save you from a two thousand dollar hospital bill!

For using liquid based pest control supplies you’ll need a sprayer, these can come in attachments that are hooked to a hose for treating large areas, there are also small containers that are filled with a mixed solution (based on the directions on the label) they can be manually pressurized and used to directly spray areas. These sprayer containers can be used for pesticides and herbicides alike.

Liquid sprayers are used for treating the perimeter of your home, large areas like your lawn or garden, and for spot treatments for products specifically made to treat the inside of your home to deter any pests from entering your home. There are many pest control supplies that you can use that are disposable. Between using a duster or a liquid sprayer you can treat nearly any pest that you will come across in your home.
